Heavy Rainfall and Flooding in Bazarak – Immediate Municipal Response
Bazarak, 1st of Dhu al-Qa‘dah al-Haram Following Saturday night’s rainfall in Panjshir Province, the city of Bazarak, the provincial capital, experienced heavy rain. In some areas of the city, flash floods occurred; fortunately, they did not result in any human casualties or financial losses.
In the Khaniz and Mirkhil (Orang) neighborhoods of District One, floods of moderate volume flowed in three locations, even causing the temporary closure of Panjshir’s main public road. Thanks to the immediate efforts of the Municipality and the Department of Public Works, the road was reopened to traffic in due time and cleared of sediment deposits.
